Two overs after Aslanka fell, Jadeja struck twice in the same over, luring Niroshan Dickwella and Suranga Lakmal to play a rash shot.

Shami dismissed Lasith Embuldeniya with a bouncer which hit the edge of the bat at short leg. Visva Fernando and Lahiru Kumara were dismissed by Jadeja in back-to-back deliveries as the all-rounder took five wickets.

In Sri Lanka’s second essay, Ashwin struck first as Thirimanne was caught at first slip by Sharma to take seven for 76 in a session to extend India’s dominance in the match.
