IND vs SA: World Ready To Witness A ‘Fired Up’ Virat Kohli Against The Proteas

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

This phrase suits India’s talisman Virat Kohli perfectly who has time and again proven his worth when the world thinks he is at his lowest.

Coming back from a heartbreaking ODI World Cup loss against Australia might not be that easy but the 35-year-old is most likely to bounce back.

The challenge in front of him? A maiden Test series win against The Proteas. A feat that has never been achieved in the history of Indian cricket.

The Indian fans have seen Virat rise from the most difficult of situations in the past.

Be it his never-ending century drought which he broke in some fashion against Afghanistan, or be it an IPL form which saw him getting sent back to the pavilion on ducks.

The Delhi boy has silenced his critics in every step of his way and always came back with something special for the Indian fans.

Star Studded Show At Home

Virat’s class was once again witnessed in the ODI World Cup 2023, where he finished with the Man of the Tournament award. Kohli scored 765 runs, including 3 centuries which also took him above the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar to 50 ODI hundreds to his name.

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar also feels an ‘angry’ Virat Kohli could set the stage on fire for Team India this time round.

“I see Virat Kohli doing his own few things. He is going to get fired up. The last trip to South Africa, he did not get a big one and Kohli has had to work harder for Test runs recently. When Virat Kohli is all fired up and angry, that’s the sight I like. David Warner as well. When they get a little fired up, you see them batting better,” Manjrekar said.

However, fans would have to wait to see the batter take the ground in South Africa with Kohli returning to home due to an emergency.

With Kohli set to return for the Boxing Day Test on January 3, the fans can expect something special from him as he looks to add another feather to his cap and etch his name once again in the history books of Indian cricket.
