Ind vs England, 3rd Test: England squad announced, Sibley dropped and David Malan recalled

New Delhi: England on Wednesday evening announced the 15-man squad for the India vs England third Test. The hosts have included Mark Wood in the team despite the injury. England have included David Malan and Saqib Mahmood for the Ind vs Eng 4th Test and dropped Dom Sibley, Jack Leach, Jack Crowley from the squad.

The 33-year-old Malan has been the main player of England’s T20 team for the last two years. He is currently the number one T20 batsman in the world. Malan is returning to the Test team after three years. He last took part in the Test series against India in the year 2018 and was dropped after the Edgbaston Test due to poor form.

Sibley’s performance in the ongoing Test series between India vs England was very poor. His highest score in four innings was 28. Ollie Pope and Dan Lawrence have made their way into the team. The third Test of the five-Test series between India and England will be played in Leeds from August 25. India have taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match series against England after winning the Lord’s Test by 151 runs. The first test was a draw.
