IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli dropped the sitter in the third T20I, Amit Mishra suggested this remedy

India defeated England in the three-match T20I series but failed to seal the series 3-0 as they lost the third match by 17 runs. In this match, Kohli was once again disappointed with the bat and got out for 11 runs. He played two good shots when he first hit a boundary off David Willey and then hit a six under the bowler’s head. However, he left after a while.

Moreover, his fielding also made news as he dropped a simple catch from Liam Livingstone. He failed to stop a boundary earlier as well.

Meanwhile, his former teammate Amit Mishra also felt that there was something wrong with Kohli as he is usually a very good fielder. “Never seen Virat Kohli Dropping catches in the nets as well. He is a class player and if not today then tomorrow he will be back in form. He should not take this extra pressure. #EngvsInd,” he tweeted.

Coming back to the catch, Kohli was almost in position, but faced one of the simplest catches he has ever faced in his career.

While Livingstone would add only 6 more runs after being dropped to 36, England’s 215-run target turned out to be too much for the Indian batsmen, despite Suryakumar Yadav’s incredible century during the run-chase.

Kohli has also come under a lot of scrutiny from former greats like Kapil Dev, who slammed the team management for sticking with the former captain. He even said that if Ashwin can be dropped then why not Kohli. Subsequently, Australia cricketer Usman Khawaja came out in defense of Kohli, apparently mocking Dev for his remarks.

The cricketer commented, “Average 50 around 140. Good call, agrees Australia.”

Will be back in action with Kohli India The three-match ODI series against world champions England will begin on 12 July at the Oval in London.
