IND vs ENG: ‘I don’t want to answer this’ – Bhuvneshwar Kumar on injury related question

Chasing the target of 171 runs, Bhuvneshwar brought the ball to England on their knees and turned the ball from both sides. After producing a scintillating in-swinger against Jos Buttler in the first T20I, he was at it again as he bowled an away-swinger to dismiss Jason Roy on the first ball in the second T20I match. He then managed to remove Dangerman Butler. He took three wickets, his figures read: 3-0-15-3.

Talking to the broadcasters, he was at his hilarious best.

He said, ‘When the ball swings, you enjoy bowling. But it hasn’t changed much in England over the years if I’m not mistaken. Good for me (that the white ball swings more than the red ball).

This is the second time in the series that he has dismissed Jos Buttler. In the first match, it was a brilliant in-swinger. This time he bowled a straighter which hit the thumb side of his bat and was caught by Rishabh Pant who was standing near the batsman.

“He (Buttler) is a dangerous player and if he gets past the powerplay, he can score big. If the ball swings, it motivates you to do well and I am confident now.”

He said he didn’t want to think about the injuries. He was dropped from the national team due to injuries, which threatened to take his career out.

“I don’t want to answer that and if I am playing then something is right (when asked if he is fit and free from all injuries),” he told broadcasters in a post-match presentation.
