Team India will resume the second day of the Edgbaston Test against England at 338 for 7 on Saturday (July 2) with the visitors hoping to cross the 375-run mark. Ravindra Jadeja (83*) and Mohammed Shami (0*) were at the crease at the end of the first day.

Meanwhile, fans will be wary of the threat of rain in Birmingham as unpredictable English weather could play its way into the second day of the Test. According to AccuWeather, the maximum temperature on Saturday will be 19 degree Celsius and the minimum will be nine degree Celsius.

However, according to a report in weather.com, there is a possibility of heavy rain between 10 am and 12 noon local time. The day is likely to be cloudy, but it will be sunny around 3 pm to put an end to the rain. There is a 75 percent chance of rain during the day and 12 percent in the night. Humidity will be around 76-81%. There is also a 17 percent chance of thunderstorms.


Notably, the opening day of the Edgbaston Test was also affected by rain as only 20.1 overs were possible in the first session of play on Friday. When the players were taken off the field, India were 53 for 2 wickets.

Talking about the first day, Rishabh Pant had one of the best innings by an Indian Test batsman in overseas conditions, with a scintillating knock of 146 as he and Ravindra Jadeja (83 not out) put together an innings to take India to 338/7.
