IND vs ENG 4th Test Live: Team India wants to extend the second innings lead on the fourth day of the Oval Test

India vs England: The fourth Test match between India and England enters the fourth day. The match which was looking to go in England’s favor has changed allegiance and is now completely under Indian control. This has been possible because of the flexible and patient batting performances by the Indian top order, especially Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara. The third day of the Test was for the Indian batsmen.

Cheteshwar Pujara was playing some quick drives and showing positive intent, which is usually missing from Pujara’s natural game, that of defence. Rohit Sharma scored 100 runs in Test cricket after a long time. This has cemented Rohit’s position as the opener of the Indian cricket team.

The match has come to a stage where 100-150 runs more would mean that India might be able to think about saving the Test and winning it, but the match is not over! Anything can happen in a Test match and India will have to bat really well to challenge this prolific English batting line-up.

Here’s a look at the highlights of the third day:

England have a decent pace attack which might be able to stop the Indian team. Two early wickets and England could be back in the match. Wait and see!

England’s Playing XI: Rory Burns, Haseeb Hameed, David Malan, Joe Root (c), Ollie Pope, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Craig Overton, Ollie Robinson, James Anderson.
