Skating training is done a the VUDA Park.
The Visakhapatnam coach said that currently, more than 100 students are undergoing training on this ground.
VUDA Park or the VMRDA Park located in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh is famous for its skating grounds. As per the News18 Telugu report, this ground can serve as the perfect spot for undergoing training and polishing skills in the skating sport in summer vacations. The skaters are extremely trained in their field and leave the audience mesmerised with their stunts. A veteran coach named Gangadhar revealed more information about this. He said that the children are being trained in this sport for Rs 1,000 and therefore everyone should take part in this training.
The coach also talked about the benefits of skating and said that teaching this sport to a child will positively impact their physical and mental health. A pass has also been made for the candidate’s parents so that they can also accompany their child to the training grounds. Gangadhar said that he will leave no stone unturned to train the children who wish to win awards at the district, state, and national levels. He said that currently, more than 100 students are undergoing training on this ground.
The coach added that he provides training to the children every evening from 05:30 to 07:00 PM. Some of the adults were also spotted learning from their junior counterparts. As per the organisers, interested candidates can join the training camp for the roller skates by going through a 5-minute process.
As seen in the video byte, children appear to be proficient in skating and moving around on the ground with impeccable command of their roller skates. Except for some of the children, others have taken protective measures and have worn headgear and an elbow pad as well. Some of the candidates appear to be novices in the video. For their help, children who are well-versed with the intricacies of the sport are supporting them. The coach can be heard guiding the candidates with their techniques and other aspects of the skating process.
As per reports, the VUDA park was closed for a year due to the lockdown imposed instead of the coronavirus.
