Dermatologist Dr Aanchal Panth has posted a video on her Instagram handle to share some tips that can help you get rid of winter skin problems.

Avoid bathing with hot water. It would be better if you take a cold water bath as it moves the blood to your organs to keep you warm, but if you can’t bear it, add some warm water. Avoid hot baths as this will cause the blood to rush towards the surface of the skin.

There is no need to apply soap on the body while bathing daily. The soap can be used on a weekly basis. However, you should only soap the armpits and groin areas daily. Always use glycerin based soap.
use a thin cotton towel
Apply moisturizer when skin is still damp. Don’t wait for it to dry. Use moisturizer with ceramides.
wear cotton clothes
Use urea based cream on hands and feet.
