Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar was cremated with full state honors at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday. In this, apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, almost all the big politicians of Maharashtra politics participated. In the Shivaji Park where Lata ji was given the last farewell, now BJP MLA Ram Utter has demanded to make a memorial place in the name of Lata Tai in this Dadar Maidan.

BJP MLA in a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray said, “As you know, the last rites of late Bharat Ratna Lata didi were performed with state honors at Shivaji Maidan (Shivaji Park) Dadar, Mumbai. Due to this, crores of fans, It is my humble request on behalf of music lovers and well wishers of Lata didi that a memorial of late Bharat Ratna Lata didi should be built at the same place in Shivaji Park where she merged with Panchtatva.”

The MLA further wrote, “So you are requested to respect this demand of the public and the memorial should be constructed immediately, so that this place becomes a place of inspiration for the world. Yours, Ram Kadam.”

Lata Mangeshkar died on Sunday at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital after having corona and pneumonia. He was put on ventilator support on Saturday after recovering from Corona. Lata Mangeshkar’s last rites were performed with full state honors at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday.

The Government of India has declared two days of national mourning on the death of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday in the state on Monday (today). The Chief Minister’s Secretariat informed on Sunday that all government offices would be closed on Monday. However, emergency services will continue to operate. BMC also issued orders in this regard late in the evening. At the same time, the traders of Dadar had closed the shops from 5:30 pm on Sunday evening.
