Imran Khan urges overseas Pakistanis to donate for his campaign against new ‘imported’ government

Pakistan’s deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan has appealed to foreign Pakistanis to donate money to a campaign launched by his party against the new “imported government” led by Shahbaz Sharif. In a video message posted on Twitter on Friday, Khan called a “corrupt government”. Regime change was imposed on the Pakistani people through “foreign conspiracy”.

“It is an insult to the 22 crore Pakistani people,” Khan said, nearly a week after the 69-year-old was succeeded by Sharif, the leader of the opposition and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president. Terming his campaign as ‘Haqiki Azadi’ (true freedom), Khan said that his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf: Party has started a website named Namnoor.com to raise funds from foreign Pakistanis for the purpose.

Let’s thwart the foreign conspiracy for regime change and lead the country towards elections. Let the people of Pakistan decide their government.”
