Imlie Fame Sai Ketan Rao Gets Injured On Set, Resumes Shoot Post Treatment – News18

Imlie is a popular television series that has captured the hearts of viewers with its storyline and characters. Currently, Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy are seen as the leads. As the story flows, Sai Ketan has been entertaining viewers with double roles in the daily soap. He was initially seen as Agastya Singh Chaudhary and now as Surya Pratap. Recently, the actor was injured while shooting some adventurous scenes in the show. However, despite sustaining injuries, the actor continued to shoot.

As per a report by Times Now, Sai Ketan Rao suffered an accident while shooting for a crucial scene in a moving bus. Despite taking safety measures into account, the actor got hit by a tree. Although the crew immediately took action, Sai Ketan suffered minor bruises and cuts around his eyes. Reportedly, the shoot was halted, and the actor was taken to the onset medical team for first aid. However, the actor soon resumed shooting after his initial treatment was done. The publication quoted a source as saying, “The safety and well being of our cast and crew are our utmost priority, and we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure a swift recovery for Sai.”

Meanwhile, speaking about the scene and the injury, Sai Ketan Rao told ETimes, “I was filming a scene on top of a moving bus and was talking to Adrija Roy who is playing the role of Imlie. While the bus was on the move, a tree branch hit me in the face, causing a lot of pain, swelling near my eye on my forehead’s side, and some scratches. The tree branches were at the same height as the bus, which led to the accident.” He added that the production team helped him and he was treated immediately. He stated, “ I felt better and returned to continue the scene. I told the director, ‘I’m ready to shoot, sir.’He asked if I was sure, and I said, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’”

The show Imlie launched in 2020, with Sumbul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan as the key performers. However, they eventually left the show and a massive 18-year generation leap was introduced. During this time, Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra took on the primary roles. As the second leap was introduced last year, Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy took over as leads.
