Model turned actress Samreen Kaur, 21, recently faced a case of mistaken identity. In a recent incident, she associated herself with Punit Malhotra directorial Student Of The Year 2. Samreen was stunned to find herself credited on the list as Tara’s on-screen mother. The role is performed by another actress of the same name. The young actress said in an interaction that she was shocked to be credited for an old role and it affected her badly. He also expressed his desire to work with the production house but in a different character.
While talking to Spotboye, Samreen revealed that she discovered this confusion on the internet after someone sent her an IMDb credit list. “I was shocked and deeply affected by this because I’m just 21 and I obviously can’t play a mother to a character like this, even if I want to. It was weird for me to see my name there, but I can’t help it because you can’t edit things like this on the internet,” Samreen was quoted as saying.
The actress further assured that the mix-up hasn’t affected her work or auditions yet. He further requested people to “do a little research before making such an assumption”.
Samreen has been a part of the entertainment industry through various roles and music videos. She featured in Jubin Nautiyal’s video song, Tujhe Bhoolana To Cha. Samreen was also seen in Jordan Sandhu’s Bottle Free and Yaara Te Varga by Aatish and Jass Manak. The actress played a role in Arjun Rampal’s thriller, Nail Polish.
