IIT Delhi, Samsung Collaborates to Launch ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ Competition, Winners to Get Rs 1.5 Crore

Participants in the program must be between 16 and 22 years old and must submit their creative, technologically advanced ideas that will significantly enhance the quality of life for others.

Indian Institute technology (IIT) Delhi Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) in collaboration with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Startup Hub and Samsung India has launched the second season of national innovation competition “Solve for Tomorrow”. The application process started from 4th April and will end on 31st May.

Program participants must be between the ages of 16 and 22 and must submit their creative, technologically advanced ideas that will significantly enhance the quality of life for others. According to the official notice, ideas must fall into one of four categories: education and learning, environment and sustainability, health and wellness, and diversity and inclusion. Applicants can submit their applications for the contest online at samsung.com.

The top 30 teams/individuals will be mentored and coached by Samsung’s partners, FITT and MeitY Startup Hub at IIT Delhi to help the participants refine their concepts. Additionally, they will receive Rs 20,000 to be used towards the development of their initial prototype before pitching their concepts to a panel of Samsung employees as well as professionals from FITT, IIT Delhi and MeitY Startup Hub.

Top 10 teams will be selected by this jury to participate in the finals. The top three teams will receive Rs 1.5 crore for executing their ideas, while the remaining participants who make it to the top 30 and top 10 will receive prizes throughout the event.
