IISc Bangalore introduces B.Tech in Mathematics computing, admission through JEE Advanced scores

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore Started B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing. Admission to the program will be done on the basis of JEE Advanced scores of the students. The institute has released the complete syllabus details on the official website, iisc.ac.in.

There will be a total of 52 seats in the undergraduate course which includes 40 seats plus eight additional seats for women candidates and four seats for foreign countries, NRIs and OCIs. Students must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as one of the language as well as core subjects and any subject other than the above four.

scavengers Those who rank in JEE Main and top 2.5 lakh will be allowed to sit in advance, The application forms for JEE Main are currently available at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is 31st March.

According to the official website, the program will be spread over four semesters, which will include six courses in mathematics and computing as well as science, humanities and other engineering subjects. Students can then choose softcore credits from a large pool of courses in mathematics and computing in addition to the many electives offered by the institution.

Courses include mathematics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computational science, theoretical computer science, quantum computing, signal processing, computational biology, and mathematical finance.

“Students can opt for research/industry projects in their fourth year. Students can do M.Tech. degree by taking an additional year course and project credits,” the official website said.

For General, OBC and EWS category candidates, the course fee for the first year is Rs 2,20,200 while for SC and ST category candidates it is Rs 20,200.
