Pawar said, “The review meeting held on Friday considered imposing the ban before the festival, but after discussions with the elected representatives we have decided against it. All the big Ganesh mandals celebrated the ten-day long festival in a calm manner. The mandals have assured us that they will not hold pandals or tableaux, so people will not move here and there in large numbers.
But, any crowd, the deputy chief minister said, the local administration and police would ban from the next day. So far, the state government has not imposed any additional restrictions, and the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray He said that further guidelines will be announced before the festival.
Like last year, Pawar said, this year also Ganeshotsav should be a simple celebration. Many big mandals of Pune have decided to follow this covid norms and urged citizens to celebrate the festival at home.
Referring to the Central Government Kerala Which has recently reported over 30,000 cases in a day, has already advised the state to maintain vigil and take extra precautions during the upcoming festive season.
