If any Hindu says that Muslims should not live here, he is not a Hindu: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said those who kill people in the name of protecting the “sacred animal” cow are going against Hindutva. He also said that all Indians have the same DNA and urged Muslims to be “stuck in the cycle of fear” that Islam is under threat in India.

“If a Hindu says that no Muslim should live here, then that person is not a Hindu. Cow is a sacred animal but those who are killing others are going against Hindutva. Addressing an event organized by Muslim Rashtriya Manch on the theme ‘Hindustani first, Hindustan first’, ANI quoted Bhagwat as saying, “Law should take its course against him without any bias.”

Stating that there cannot be discrimination in the way people worship, he said, “Don’t fall into the cycle of fear that Islam is under threat in India.”

Underlining that development is not possible without unity in the country, the RSS chief stressed that the basis of unity should be nationalism and the glory of ancestors. He said that the only solution to the Hindu-Muslim conflict is dialogue, not discord.

“Hindu-Muslim unity is deceptive because they are not separate, but one. All Indians have the same DNA, irrespective of religion. “We are in a democracy. There cannot be dominance of Hindus or Muslims. Only Indians can dominate.” Beginning his speech, Bhagwat said that he is not attending the program neither for any image change nor for vote bank politics.

Bhagwat said that the Sangh is neither in politics nor does it care to maintain its image. “It keeps on doing its work for strengthening the nation and for the welfare of all in the society,” he said.
