IDUKKI: Despite the state witnessing heavy downpours, the storage level in the Idukki reservoir is at a safe level and below nearly 7ft of the upper rule level. The water level in the reservoir on Wednesday was 2,386.02ft. The new rule curve of 2,392.55ft in the Idukki reservoir will be applicable from Thursday till September 10.
The water level in Mullaperiyar dam is also below the rule curve level. The water level on Wednesday was 135.75ft. The new rule curve of 140.90ft in the dam will be applicable from Thursday till September 10. Tamil Nadu was drawing 1,822 cusecs of water, and the average inflow was 1822 cusecs by Wednesday.TNN
