Many ICICI Bank customers have been complaining since Thursday afternoon, March 25, that the bank’s servers are down and they are unable to do internet banking. With internet banking services currently suspended at ICICI Bank, many users are taking to social media to complain about their problems while accessing the ICICI Bank mobile app and the lender’s website. Some of them also raised issues regarding transactions.
the issue remained ICICI Direct customers, who said they are suffering losses due to technical issues.
“Dear Customer, http://ICICIdirect.com is currently closed. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and will update you here. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused,” ICICI Direct said in a statement. The Twitter post said its handle was flooded with complaints.

“@ICICI_Direct I trade in intraday only by margin against shares. Your server is stuck since 1 pm and could not get out of my position. Now, at least don’t charge me for interest on margin for this overnight position,” said a client.

“ICICI netbanking (both personal and corporate) is not working since last 2 hours,” said another user tagging the bank’s handle as well as RBI.

A user said, “ICICI App as well as web link for Banking Not Responding… from 2.37 PM today.”
“The servers have been down for quite some time. Both the website and the app are not opening as of now,” an ICICI Bank official, wishing to remain anonymous, told Moneycontrol.
This is the second time in six months that ICICI Bank’s internet banking and mobile app services have been hit by a technical issue. On September 28 last year, users had complained of similar glitches.
