India beat Ireland by 174 runs in their Group B fixture to qualify for the Super League stage in the ongoing ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba. Chasing the target of 308 runs, Ireland’s team was reduced to 133 runs in 39 overs. Proud Anil Sangwan, Anishwar Gautam and Kaushal Tambe took two dismissals each for India. Meanwhile, Vicky Ostwal, Ravi Kumar and Rajvardhan Suhas Hungrekar bagged a wicket each. Initially, India posted 307 for five in 50 overs, with their opening pair battling some brilliantly; Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Harnoor Singh. Raghuvanshi scored 79 runs in 79 balls and also hit 10 fours and two sixes. Harnoor, on the other hand, scored 88 runs in 101 balls and also hit 12 fours. India was also without captain Yash Dhul, who reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 along with five other teammates.
