Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain has been cleared to bowl in international cricket following an independent re-evaluation at the ICC Accredited Center in Lahore, Pakistan. Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement on Thursday.

Hasnain was reported for a suspicious action with Sydney Thunder in Australia’s Big Bash Twenty20 league last season and was suspended from bowling after a biomechanical test confirmed that his action was illegal.

The board announced on Thursday that the amount of elbow extension in the re-evaluation was within the level of 15 degrees allowed under the ICC’s illegal bowling rules.

“As such, he can now resume bowling in all forms of cricket, including domestic cricket around the world,” the statement read.

After considering sending Hasnain to an independent consultant, the PCB decided to hire its high-performance coach Umar Rashid to work with him at the High-Performance Center in Lahore. ESPN Cricinfo said in a report that his test took place on January 21 at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, ICC-approved testing laboratory. The test report, which was reviewed and verified by an independent expert from Cricket Australia, found that his bowling action was illegal.
