A CRPF officer posted at the Intelligence Bureau (IB) director’s residence in Delhi’s Tughlaq Road area shot himself dead. He has been identified as ASI Rajbir Kumar (53). The incident took place last Friday around 4 pm. According to the police, no suicide note has been recovered from the spot. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
Police said that ASI Rajbir Kumar shot himself two rounds from his service rifle AK47. Due to this he died on the spot. Kumar was on leave for the last few days and returned to duty only on Friday.
Inquiries into the matter continue
Police said that the victim’s family has been informed and investigation has been started under section 174. Now the body has been taken to the hospital for postmortem. After this the body will be handed over to the family.
