In a massive display of its long-range combat capability, four Rafale jets of the Indian Air Force carried out a “strategic” mission over the Indian Ocean region for six hours on Wednesday, people familiar with the operation said.

He claimed that the mission, which involved a series of maneuvers and simulated operations, was successfully accomplished by the jets after taking off from Hasimara Air Force Station in the eastern sector and returning to the base.

The mission was undertaken by the Indian Air Force (IAF) at a time when China was expanding its presence in the Indian Ocean, which is generally regarded as the backyard of the Indian Navy.

According to the persons cited, the mission flown by the four Rafale aircraft demonstrated their operational capabilities and preparedness for various challenging situations.

The above persons claimed that the operation was done very recently without specifying the date.

Additionally, the IAF tweeted about the mission.

“Four IAF Rafales took off for a long-range mission in the IOR for over six hours. The aircraft ‘fighted’ with a great force on their way to their weapon release point. Pickle on time, weapon on target – The way of the Indian Air Force!” Said this.

The IAF also did not disclose the day of the activity.

The Rafale jets are India’s most memorable significant purchase of military aircraft in a long period after the Sukhoi jets were imported from Russia. Many types of powerful weapons can be carried in Rafale jets.
