Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika and 11 other armed forces officers were killed in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
Brigadier LS Lidder, Military Adviser to the Chief of Defense Staff and Staff Officer Lt Col Harjinder Singh were among those killed in the accident. The only survivor of the accident is Group Captain Varun Singh. He is battling for life at the Military Hospital in Wellington.
