I.N.D.I.A Conference LIVE: “How Adani’s Wealth Surged Drastically…”, Says Cong Mallikarjun Kharge

Mumbai: Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday acussed the BJP led- Central Government for extending undue favours to Adani group chief Gautam Adani and questioned that how the wealth of Adani drastically surged in their term.

The statement came following the third I.N.D.I.A alliance meeting held in Mumbai.

Addressing the media, Kharge said, “All parties conducted this meeting effectively. We initially laid the foundation for the alliance during discussions at my residence, then established an agenda in the Patna meeting, and now in Mumbai, all parties have openly shared their perspectives.”

Kharge criticized Centre over the skyrocketting prices of the the prices of the LPG and fuel and said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not working for the poor ads their policies do not prioritize the welfare of the economically disadvantaged.

“Our collective goal is clear – addressing the challenges of unemployment, soaring fuel prices, and rising LPG cylinder costs. The BJP initially raised prices significantly and made only minimal reductions. It’s evident that Prime Minister Modi’s policies do not prioritize the welfare of the economically disadvantaged. Just yesterday, Rahul Gandhi presented a report highlighting the significant increase in Adani’s income,” he said.

“Today, a special session of Parliament has been convened without consulting the opposition. In the past, we haven’t seen special sessions during critical events like the Manipur crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, concerns related to China, or issues concerning demonetization and migrant laborers. The agenda behind this sudden session remains unclear. This approach to governing is not in line with the principles of a democracy. It seems we are gradually moving towards a more authoritarian form of governance,” Congress national president asserted.

However, Shive Sena UBT Sanjay Raut said that they will jointly contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and will surely emerge victorious, following the third opposition meeting on Friday.
