Moeen Ali reveals how spending time with MS Dhoni at CSK camp has been a huge help for him

Moeen Ali has transformed himself into a world-class all-rounder over the years. While bowling, he can pick up wickets at crucial stages and when it comes to scoring runs, he can do it with ease, no matter where he bats. And behind this change is the captain of Chennai Super Kings M S Dhoni The all-rounder has played a major role with himself can never deny.

Moeen joined the CSK camp back in 2021 and the season saw him promoted as the No. 3 batsman. He scored 357 runs in 15 matches at an average of 25.50 and a strike rate of 137.31. In the same year, MS Dhoni & Co. won the trophy for the fourth time, becoming the second most successful team in the league after Mumbai Indians.

In a conversation with Cricbuzz, Moeen spoke about how spending time with Dhoni at the CSK camp has been very helpful for him.

“I spent some time with MS and talked a lot. I ask questions about captaincy and he answers. It’s very open like that. As a captain, I have learned a lot from him. I have learned a lot from his batting as well. You learn a lot at CSK,” Ali told Cricbuzz.

The upcoming season of IPL will see the teams return to their home grounds and Moeen is excited to play at Chepauk. He also said that the tournament has helped many other English players to get better at their respective sports.

“I don’t know about other teams but CSK is a family franchise. I am looking forward to this season. He had a very good auction. I am looking forward to playing with the new players and most importantly, I am looking forward to Chepauk and the crowd here.”

“A lot. I think the IPL has really contributed a lot to the England team. Not only individually but we played a lot against the Indian team. You get to know the strengths and weaknesses of the Indian players. You Can use that to our advantage. As individuals, it definitely helped us playing in front of bigger crowds,” he added.
