Hyderabadites looking forward to travel again: Thomas Cook

With the Covid-19 pandemic receding and restrictions on people’s movement lifted, people in Hyderabad are yearning to resume travel.

Santosh Kanna, Vice President – ​​Leisure Travel, Thomas Cook (India) Limited said, “More than 75 percent of Hyderabad customers are willing to travel in 2021.”

Citing a survey by a travel solutions company, he said that around 66 per cent of the respondents preferred going to international destinations, while 81 per cent preferred domestic holidays, with the top destinations being Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh, Rajasthan, Goa and . Andaman.

“After 18 months of restrictions, with positive announcements on reopening of borders and vaccine acceptance, company data reveals a strong willingness to travel among Hyderabad customers – resulting in a month-on-month increase in demand. 65 per cent increase,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

The firm said that the upcoming festive and winter season, along with Expo 2020 Dubai, is improving travel numbers.

The preferred outbound destinations for Hyderabadis are Maldives, Dubai-Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, France, Turkey, Egypt and Russia.
