Hyderabad-based Startoon launches prognostic device ‘Pheezee’

Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based husband-wife duo Susurala VS Suresh and Mythreyi Kondapi has launched a first-of-its-kind tech-enabled device for physiotherapists and patients called Pheezee.

The device aims to revolutionize the way patient assessments are done in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation space. After working on developing the product for two years and testing it in rehab centers for two more years, the startup Startoon Labs has officially launched the wearable prognostic device.

The device can monitor and track the recovery of patients undergoing physiotherapy and rehabilitation, post orthopedic and neurological ailments. It generates quantified clinical reports that also help in creating a common standardized platform for communication between the physician, physiotherapist and the patient.

Incubated at WE Hub, the startup’s flagship product was launched by stalwarts of the pharma industry Dr KI Varaprasad Reddy, founder, Shanta Biotechincs Limited, Dr AV Gurava Reddy, chief orthopedic surgeon and managing director, Sunshine Hospitals, Khalil Ahmed, co-founder, Shanta Biotechnics and Dr Chandrasekhar, arthroscopy and sports surgery at Sunshine Hospitals.

“We are happy to launch our product Pheezee and see that the seeds we have heard four years ago are reaping fruits now. As a women entrepreneur, I feel proud to represent a hardware medical device company, and give equal opportunities for women in our entire ecosystem consisting of team, vendors, suppliers and partners,” said Mythreyi Kondapi, co-founder and CTO, Startoon Labs.

WE Hub CEO Deepthi Ravula informed that she met the founders when they were into the initial stages of hardware building and Startoon Labs became part of the first cohort of WE Hub, three years back. “Product development companies like these are providing employment to other MSMEs that are not from Hyderabad too,” Ravula said.

Currently, Pheezee is being used in Sunshine Hospitals, KIMS and Apollo and the company is ready to ship their first lot of products to pre-ordered customers in Hyderabad. It is in the process of making the product available Pan-India for hospitals and rehabilitation centers and is setting up its assembly unit to meet the current demand from our customers.
