The Delhi BJP on Monday staged a massive protest outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence at the Municipal Corporation building over the “ruckus created by AAP corporators” during a meeting last week.

A large number of Delhi BJP leaders and workers, led by Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva, raised slogans against the Aam Aadmi Party and its convener Kejriwal.

The police stopped them when they were on their way from the Chandgiram Akhara to the Chief Minister’s residence, not far from Kejriwal’s official residence.

“What happened at MCD House on January 6 was extremely shameful. AAP corporators attacked BJP corporators including women Sachdeva said, we are ready to answer your hooliganism.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said AAP councilors insulted the Constitution by creating ruckus in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) house and stopping the swearing-in of elders.

In the MCD House meeting, AAP councilors opposed the swearing-in of 10 aldermen appointed by the LG on Friday. On this, the BJP councilors retaliated by fighting and pushing between the two parties.

The House adjourned without the election of the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor as well as the members of the Standing Committee.
