Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter ‘Bigger’ Than Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan? Siddharth Anand’s Plan Revealed

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter is one of the highly anticipated movies and looks like it will be one of the biggest Bollywood movies ever. In a recent interview, the film’s action and stunt director Parvez Sheikh revealed that director Siddharth Anand is planning to make ‘Fighter’ ‘bigger’ than Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan.

Sheikh was talking to actor Kuldeep on the latter’s show Cool Talks With Kuldeep, when he revealed how the makers recently shot for combat action sequences with ‘fire, explosions, helicopters, choppers and fighter jets’.

“Siddharth Anand sir used to tell us time and again that a fighter’s action should be at a different level from Pathan’s action. It was sunny when we shot for the fighter’s action. In that kind of sunshine we did fires, explosions, helicopters, helicopters, fighter planes and more. This is what we did at the SRPF ground in Jogeshwari. A huge set was put up,” Parvez said.

“Siddharth sir’s ideas are on another level after Bang Bang and War. Siddharth sir has thought of making a fighter on a higher level than Pathan. We have given him our full support and the fighter’s action will definitely be on another level. Something new to show,” he shared.

Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in the lead, released in January this year. The film impressed everyone with its action sequences and grossed over Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

Whereas Fighter will be Hrithik’s third film with Siddharth Anand. He previously worked with Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in Bang Bang (2014), and War (2019). Fighter is also the first time Hrithik and Deepika are sharing the screen. Apart from this, it also promises to be ‘India’s first aerial action franchise’. The film will hit the theaters on January 25, 2024.
