Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR to begin shooting for War 2
Hrithik started shooting for the film in Mumbai on March 7 and Jr. NTR will begin shooting for War 2 in April
Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will be sharing screen space in the action drama War 2. Fans are already very excited for them to see together on screen. Well, there is a fresh update about Ayan Mukerji’s directorial. According to Bollywood Hungama reports, both actors have allotted 60 days to shoot for the sequel of the action-packed film. The original film, which was a massive hit, showcased high-octane action and a gripping narrative, setting a high bar for its sequel.
Bollywood Hungama quoted a source saying, “He is shooting for his entry sequence and it’s an action-packed stint. Hrithik has allotted merely 55 to 60 days for War 2 and most of the film will be shot at studios in Mumbai. Interestingly, it will be a wrap for Hrithik on War 2 by June 2024, and it’s among those films which he will conclude in record time.” To note, Hrithik started shooting for the film at YRF in Mumbai on March 7.
Jr. NTR will begin shooting for War 2 in April and will wrap by the end of July. “Much like Hrithik, Jr. NTR too has allotted 60 days to shoot for War, which includes 25 to 30 days of combination shoot. YRF has mastered the art of mounting big films efficiently – as this template neither requires more days of shoot from actors nor does it add on to the budget,” the source shared.
It is worth mentioning that YRF will be using more advance technology for the shooting for feature films. The latest example is War 2, which went on floors in November last year. As per reports, Ayan Mukerji has already shot for two overseas schedules without the presence of leads. “It’s the most modern technology where outdoor shoots in action space are done with body doubles and the makers then swap the faces using VFX,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
War 2 marks the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes previous films like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2022), and the upcoming Tiger 3 (2023). This film is expected to continue the storyline from Tiger 3 and will eventually lead to the highly anticipated movie Tiger vs Pathaan. The movie is touted to witness a showdown between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
