Priya says that despite being satisfactorily filled in her bag, she still has to go through many auditions and rejections. “Actually, I was rejected even today,” she says earnestly and smiles. Priya had her share of intimate scenes in ‘City of Dreams’ in which she played the role of a Gay. Did she need permission from her husband Umesh Kamat to play the role? “No, not at all. Umesh and I are in a relationship in which we respect each other as human beings and actors, both. We give complete freedom to each other, which is why my association with Umesh Such is the relationship.”
She also played a lesbian in ‘Father Like’. The woman, who is known as the ‘fashion queen’ of the Marathi industry, says, “The film has been delayed due to the lockdown. I am waiting for it. Let’s see when it starts.”
And how did this title come about? “I don’t know if the fashion police still likes my fashion sense or not because I had the worst fashion sense in my early days. I worked on it, along with my sister from the fashion industry, who taught me everything — to walk comfortably in high heels,” concluded Priya.
