How to update Aadhaar address of all family members without address proof? Use HOF authentication method –Check process

New Delhi: Aadhaar issuing body UIDAI offers several facilities to Aadhaar subscribers so that they do not face any hassle in updating their 12-digit biometric ID details.

You can update the Aadhaar address of all family members by visiting your nearest Aadhaar centers even if your supporting documents are not available.

For Aadhaar address update for all family members where documents are not available for the individual, still the address can be updated using the Head of Family Aadhaar Update option

You will only need the Aadhaar of the head of the household whose Aadhaar address has been updated

Proof of relationship document where the name of the applicant and the HOF is mentioned along with the relationship between the two – like father, mother, daughter, son, wife etc.

The fingerprint biometric of the head of the household is also required to authenticate the Aadhaar card address update at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra

The following list of valid documents can be used to ascertain the proof of relationship

– Passport

– Ration Card / PDS Card

– Pension Card

– Marriage certificate issued by the government

– Birth certificate issued by government or private hospitals for the birth of a child (this is used only for a child aged 0-5 years)

If you do not have the above documents, you can alternatively also use the print out of the self declaration form from the head of the household, certifying the relationship with the resident who is living at the same address as the HOF . You can easily download it from the list of acceptable documents from the UIDAI website. However, this document is valid only for three months. You must carefully check the contents of the form which you have filled in order to avoid any delay or rejection.

You can book an appointment to update the address by paying a fee of Rs 50. However, you must note that the presence of the HOF is mandatory in this case as it will be used to authenticate the biometrics.
