A surprising case has come to light from the Kondhwa area of Pune. Where the parents had imprisoned the 11-year-old son with 22 dogs for the last two years. However, his parents often visited him. On the complaint of the neighbors, the police raided the flat. And freed the child along with the voiceless. Taking action in this case late on Wednesday night, the police arrested the accused parents.
Pune Police’s Senior Police Inspector Sardar Patil said that we have arrested Sanjay Lodhia and Sheetal Lodhia for wrongfully imprisoning the child in the house. Both live in the Krishnai building of Kondhwa. He had kept 22 dogs in his house. Most of which were picked up from the road. Patil told that the accused couple used to come to the house to provide food and then go back after staying there for some time.

Patil said that some residents of Krishnai Building saw the child imprisoned in the house doing strange acts standing at the window, after which he called Child Line’s Anuradha Sahasrabuddhe and informed about it. This child usually sat on the balcony or window. The sound of dogs barking was heard throughout the day. The house was smelling bad for the last one week, after which the neighbors got upset and complained.
The mental status of the child will be checked today.
The child was with 22 voiceless people in a one bedroom house
After the complaint, the police swung into action and with the help of Child Line, raided the flat of Krishnai Building and rescued the child. Later, he has been sent to the Children’s Correctional Home through the Child Welfare Center. At the same time, a case has been registered against the mother and father under sections 23 and 28 of the Juvenile Justice Act. The most painful aspect of the case is that the child was forced to live in a one-bedroom house with 22 voiceless people.
The child started acting like dogs
Investigation has revealed that the accused couple was fond of keeping dogs. He often brought dogs into the house and living with them caused similar symptoms in the child. Neighbors told the police that the child used to act like a dog while sitting in the window. Schools were closed for two years due to Corona. When school started, the child also bitten other children in the school like a dog. The police will go to the school on Thursday to investigate the matter to confirm these claims.
