How Nawazuddin Siddiqui managed to travel in Mumbai local train without any notice?

new Delhi: Bollywood actors are known for throwing tantrums and keeping their attitude at times. But Nawazuddin Siddiqui, one of the major stars of today, is not one of them. The actor, who has commanded the stature of a superstar due to his exemplary performances, traveled in a local train to reach the ABP Ideas of India event in Mumbai on Saturday.

The actor, who is one of the highest paid actors of the industry, took the local train and rode a two-wheeler to reach the venue due to high vehicular traffic. Nawazuddin proved his mettle as an actor in real life by hiding his identity while traveling in a local train in Mumbai.

Welcoming Nawazuddin to the event, Sumit Awasthi of ABP told the audience how the actor reached the event. Awasthi said, “Nawaz was in Kerala in the morning. Before coming to the event, he was shooting in Mira Road, which is far away from the venue. To reach the venue on time, the actors boarded a local train, met someone. Took the lift and then reached the venue.”

The audience praised Nawazuddin fiercely. Asked how he managed to pull it off without being identified, the Gangs Of Wasseypur actor said, “I wore a safa and a mask. Nowadays it has become easier because of the mask.”

He also told how he felt “everything is fine” as he waited for the train at the station. He said, “Yeah, it was me.”

Nawazuddin spoke candidly while discussing various topics in Bollywood including Hollywood movies, nepotism and racism, and how OTT has boomed, yet the quality of content is falling.

He also gave a dialogue from one of his popular films ‘Manjhi: The Mountain Man’ and his Emmy nominated web-series ‘Sacred Games’.

At the end of the discussion, Nawazuddin said that it is important for the Indian entertainment industry to produce good content and carve a niche in global cinema.
