Ranchi: District police has sought time to file case diary related to horse-trading case in which three persons were arrested for allegedly trying to bribe MLAs.
Special Public Prosecutor (ACB) AK Gupta said, “During the bail plea of ​​the three accused, we had sought time to file the case diary and memorandum of evidence. The special ACB court has fixed August 24 as the next date of hearing.
Further, the investigating officer of the case said that he could not prepare the case diary as he was involved in law and order duties.
Notably, the police had arrested three persons Abhishek Dubey, Amit Singh and Nivaran Prasad Mahato from different places in July. The police had also registered a case in this regard under sections 419, 420, 124A, 120B and 34 of the IPC, section 171 (b) and section 8 of the Representation of the People Act. and Section 9 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, following a complaint by Congress MLA Anoop Singh.
