‘Horrific’: Air France Passenger Finds Blood-Soaked Carpet In Flight, Airline Responds

An Air France passenger described his harrowing experience on Twitter on a flight from Paris to Toronto. Narrating his story, he said that he saw a blood-soaked carpet on the plane and had to clean his luggage which later became drenched in blood. He also said that during his flight, he continued to smell something “astringent”, but could not find the source of the smell. In addition, he noticed large stains on the entire carpet on the floor of the aircraft, and the surface was wet.

Batta also said that when he complained about the problem to Air France staff, “the attendant shrugged and I had to wipe something off.” To add to his problems, when he tried to wipe the stain, he found out that it was blood.

In his Twitter thread, he said, “I took out my backpack from under the seat, and the strap was also covered in blood. I got down on my hands and knees and cleaned up for half an hour. (Air France) staff gave me gloves.” More wipes. Then he casually noticed that a passenger on the flight before ours had bleeding.”

He says, “Here I am trying to get blood out of my luggage that was absorbed by the carpet of the airplane.” @AirFrance staff crowded around, shocked as they claimed to have died after the sick passenger incident A cleaning crew later removed the seats, but apparently did not clean the floor.”

Habib also expressed concern for the sick passenger who had lost so much blood. He said, “I just kept wondering what happened to this poor passenger who lost so much blood and how it happened. An Air France staff member mentioned internal bleeding and infection. What if it was an illness- Would I or any other passenger have been exposed?”

Addressing the incident, Air France said, “Hi @Habib_B, This particular matter is being taken into consideration, and our teams will get back to you as soon as possible. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience . Thank you.”
