MumbaiDiljit Dosanjh, Shahnaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa starrer ‘Honsala Rakh’, which released on October 15, has started well at the box office. The romantic comedy has received good reviews from critics and audience. Diljit’s magic worked wonders for the film as it has registered a solid start on Dussehra 2021.
‘Honsala Rakh’ first day collection
Dosanjh took to social media to thank his fans for showering love and support for the artistes. He revealed that ‘Honsala Rakh’ had collected Rs 5.05 crore on the first day. The ‘Good Newwz’ star took to his Instagram and Twitter handles to share the box office collections of the first day of ‘Honsala Rakh’. He said that his new film has broken the first day record of all Punjabi films.
“Breaked all opening records of Punjabi movies. Record Shekod Nana Chhaya J. Ki Paye Karenge Hon. Enjoy with your family members,” he wrote.
Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages and well wishes. One user wrote, “Congratulations to the entire team.. Proud of you” while another commented, “Love you all but my favorite Shahnaz Gill.”
‘Honsla Rakh’ got highest opening for Punjabi film
The film, which marked Diljit’s debut as a producer, recorded the highest opening for any Punjabi film. Trade pundits were expecting ‘Honesla Rakh’ to rock the cash registers and so did the film.
Shahnaz Gill’s fans were eagerly waiting for this film as the contestant of ‘Bigg Boss 13’ played an important role in ‘Honesla Rakh’. After staying away from the limelight for over a month, Gill promoted his film with Diljit and other co-stars.
Shehnaz has not made any public appearance since the death of Siddharth Shukla. The ‘Balika Vadhu’ actor died of a heart attack on September 2. It is said to have been devastated after Gill’s untimely death. Diljit’s fans heaved a sigh of relief after he attended the promotions.
