Hologram statue of Netaji at India Gate: All you need to know India News – Times of India

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday unveiled a hologram statue of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate in New Delhi. The hologram statue will remain in place till the granite idol fixed for installation at the same place is completed. This is to honor Bose on his 125th birth anniversary.
These are the highlights of the hologram statue launched by PM Modi on Sunday.
The hologram statue is 28 feet high and 6 feet wide
* It is powered by a 30,000 lumen 4KW projector
* An invisible, high gain, 90% transparent holographic screen constructed in such a way that it is not visible to visitors
* A 3D image of Netaji will be projected onto it to create the effect of a hologram
* A hologram is a photographic recording of a light field rather than an image formed by a lens

* The granite idol to be carved by Advaita Gadnayak to replace the hologram statue
*Gadnayak is the Director General of the National Gallery of Modern Art.
* Black jade granite stone to be brought from Telangana for carving Netaji’s statue
* The idol has been designed by the Ministry of Culture
* The idol will be visible from Raisina Hills when installed
