Holi Special Trains: To handle the increasing number of passengers during the upcoming holiday season, Indian Railways has decided to run Holi special trains between different places. Tickets for these special trains are available at Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and online on IRCTC website irctc.co.in. This year the festival of colors will fall on 8 March.
Indian Railways will run these trains, which will travel to places like Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Pune.
Specification of Holi Special Trains:
1: Mumbai-Jayanagar Holi Special Train: Train No. 05562 CSMT will leave every Monday from March 13 to March 27 at 13:30 hrs and will reach Jaynagar at 08:00 hrs.
2: Valsad – Malda Town Holi Special (4 trips): Train No. 09011 will start journey at 22:15 hrs on every Thursday from 2nd March to 23rd March. 09012 Malda Town – Valsad Holi special will leave Malda Town at 9:05 am every Sunday from March 5 to March 26 making 4 trips. During its journey, the special train will stop at Eastern Railway stations of New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur and Abhaypur.
3: Train 03043 Howrah-Raxaul Holi Special and 03044 Raxaul-Howrah Holi Special will depart Howrah at 23:00 hrs on March 4 (Saturday) and reach Raxaul at 14:15 hrs the next day.
4: Train number 09057 Udhna Jn. – Mangaluru Jn. Bi-weekly special will leave from Udhna Jn. At 20:00. On March 1 and March 5. The next day the train will reach Mangaluru Junction at 19:40.
5: Mangaluru Jn. – Udhna Jn. Bi-weekly special train number 09058 will depart from Mangaluru Junction. At 21:10. On 2 March and 6 March. The next day the train will reach Udhna Jn at 21:05.
6: Ahmedabad Jn. – Karmali Superfast Special train number 09412 will leave on Tuesday, March 7 at 09.30 am on special fare (weekly). The next day the train will reach Karmali at 4:25 am.
7: Train number 09411 Karmali-Ahmedabad Jn. The special will leave Karmali at 09.20 am on March 8 and the train will reach Ahmedabad Junction at 7 am the next day.
8: Train number 01459 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Madgaon Jn. Special (Weekly) will depart LTT at 22:15 on Sunday, 26 February, 5 March and 12 March. The train will reach Madgaon Junction at 10:30 am the next day.
9: Train number 01460 Madgaon Junction. – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special (Weekly) will run from Madgaon Junction. Monday, March 6 and Monday, March 13 at 11:30 a.m. ET. The train will reach LTT at 23:45 hrs on the same day.
10: Train number 01445 Pune Jn. Karmali Special (Weekly) will run from Pune Junction. On Friday, March 3, March 10 and March 17. The train will reach Karmali at 08:30 the next day.
11: Karmali-Pune Junction. Special (Weekly) Train No. 01446 will leave Karmali at 09:20 am on Sundays in the month of March. The train will reach Pune Junction. Same day at 23:35.
12: Train No. 01448 Karmali – Panvel Special (Weekly) will leave Karmali at 09:20 hrs on March 4, March 11 & March 18 Saturdays. The train will reach Panvel at 20:15 hrs on the same day.
13: Train No. 01447 Panvel – Karmali Special (Weekly) will leave Panvel at 22:00 hrs on 25 February, 4 March & 18 March Saturdays. The train will reach Karmali at 08:30 the next day.
