HM Amit Shah compliments PM Modi, BJP chief Nadda for choosing Dhankhar as NDA’s VP candidate

The Home Minister said that in his public life of more than three decades, Dhankhar has contributed significantly to the development of the country.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday hailed the decision of electing West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as the NDA’s vice-president candidate and said his election will further enhance the dignity of the Upper House of Parliament, where he will be the Speaker. In a series of tweets in Hindi, Shah said that Dhankhar’s extensive and long administrative experience in the constitutional process of the House would greatly benefit the country.

“I am confident that Shri @jdhankhar1’s election as Deputy Speaker and Chairman of Rajya Sabha will further enhance the dignity of the Upper House. Also, his extensive and long administrative experience in the constitutional process. The House will greatly benefit the nation.” Shah thanks PM Narendra Modi And Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda selected Dhankhar as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the post of vice-president.

He said, the way Dhankhar, son of a farmer from Virbhumi Rajasthan, has reached here today after facing many economic and social challenges, it is inspiring for all. The Home Minister said that in his public life of more than three decades, Dhankhar has contributed significantly to the development of the country.

Shah said, “As an MLA, an MP or the Governor of West Bengal, he was constantly associated with the people in his every responsibility. Even as a lawyer, he always put the safety of the interests of the society first.”
