After the successful arrested landing and short take off of an India-made LCA fighter jet from the Indian Navy’s INS Vikrant, the Navy has now shared a video of the successful landing of a MiG-29K on board INS Vikrant by naval pilots. INS Vikrant is the first indigenous aircraft carrier and the most complex warship ever built by India. The ship has been designed in-house by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau and built by M/s Cochin Shipyard Limited. The ship left for her maiden sea trials on 04 Aug 2021. As per the press release, the carrier was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 02 Sep 2022, with Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi being the chief guest.
