Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said that every Hindu living anywhere in the world has the right to come to India when he faces problems at that place. Attacking the Congress, Sarma also said that the problems the country is facing are only because of “one family”.

Participating in the Times Now Summit 2021, he said, “Every Hindu living anywhere in the world has a right to come to India when he faces problems there.” The Chief Minister said that India belongs to the Hindus and it is their natural home.

He said, “This is a land of Sanatan and Hindu civilization.” Asked about efforts to build unity among opposition parties to fight the BJP and whether West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee could be a potential leader, Sarma called for her to lose the party whenever a leader loses his election. She goes.

Referring to Banerjee’s defeat in Nandigram, he said, “After Mamata Banerjee lost her assembly seat, for me, she was no longer a political entity.” The Chief Minister said that no one talks about BJP’s victory if Prime Minister Narendra Modi had lost the election from Varanasi.

He also said that India needs Modi as the Prime Minister for the next 20 years. Referring to the welfare programs being run in the Northeast, Sarma said that the region has witnessed dramatic development since the Modi government assumed power at the Centre.

He said that the people of the Northeast now feel more comfortable with the rest of India than before. “Now India has come to the Northeast and the Northeast has also come in the main landscape of the country,” he said.
