Himachal Pradesh is moving fast towards 100% vaccination. In 6 districts of the state, Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Una, all the people have received the first dose of the vaccine. At the same time, 90 percent vaccination has not yet reached in Kangra and Chamba districts.

Chief Minister said – will complete the target by August 30
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that by August 30, the entire population of Himachal would be vaccinated with the first dose. A door-to-door campaign to vaccinate people is going on. Those who are unable to reach the center for vaccination, they are being vaccinated at home. Health department officials have also been instructed to complete the vaccination at the earliest.

On behalf of the Health Department, the rest of the districts have been instructed to complete their vaccination target at the earliest, so that after that people can start applying the second dose. The cases of corona infection are increasing continuously in the state. Compared to neighboring states, more infected patients are being found in Himachal. This issue is very serious in terms of population.

Active patients in the state are still close to 2000. In such a situation, the vaccine is the only support for coronavirus. Due to being a tourist state, the infection spreads more rapidly here. Regarding this, the government wants to vaccinate its people with a dose as soon as possible, so that deaths due to corona can be prevented.

Vaccines are being administered from door to door
On behalf of the Health Department, people are being vaccinated from door to door in Himachal, so that no person is deprived of vaccination. The team of Health Department is going to remote areas and vaccinating the elderly, women, men. These are people who are either unable to reach the center or they do not have information about vaccination.

Out of 55 lakhs more than 16 lakh people got second vaccine
A population of 55 lakhs has been identified in Himachal Pradesh, which is above 18 years and they are to be vaccinated. Out of this, 16 lakh 73 lakh 808 people have been given both doses of Kovid vaccine. Whereas, 53 lakh 55 thousand 842 people have got the first dose. The vaccine is being administered daily at more than 100 sites in the state.
