The State Executive Committee (SEC) has announced a 5-day week on Saturday and Sunday directing the closure of all offices of Government Departments/PSUs/Local Bodies/Autonomous Bodies including Himachal Pradesh Secretariat. On working days, these offices will operate with 50 per cent attendance.
There will be a complete ban on all social and religious gatherings in the state, while the limits of other gatherings have also been fixed.
A spokesman of the state government said that the Chief Minister’s program is scheduled on January 10 and today for the Reconciliation Assembly constituency. Badsar, Hamirpur And Nadaun The constituencies scheduled for January 11 and 12 have also been cancelled. All these programs will be rescheduled at the earliest, he added.
According to the order issued by the state executive committee on Sunday, restrictions on government offices dealing with emergency or essential services like health, police, fire, banks, electricity, water and sanitation, public transport, telecom, excise duty will not apply. , budget and related event services/activities etc.
It added that other functions such as educational/sports/entertainment/cultural/political are permitted up to 50 per cent of the capacity, which is in indoor built up/covered areas (whichever is less) and open spaces for a maximum of 100 persons. is subordinated. Up to 50 per cent of the capacity of outdoor areas is allowed subject to 300 persons (whichever is less).
Prior intimation of the meetings will be given to the District/Sub-Divisional Administration and the local administration may impose additional conditions on the organizers with reference to the local COVID situation, as deemed fit. COVID-19 appropriate behavior and safety protocols will be strictly followed during these meetings/gatherings.
It has been said in the order that there will be a complete ban on langar/ community kitchen/dham at all places along with religious places/ places of worship in the state. The concerned District Magistrates have been empowered to take a decision in this regard, keeping in view the COVID-19 situations and the specific requirements of their districts, for fixing the timings of shops/markets or the timing of their opening/closing. .
The District Administration shall be competent to depute any Government servant who is otherwise not performing any duty or is not coming to their offices due to the directions of any authority, and shall be subject to vaccination, surveillance, home isolation. shall enable them to be deputed for any duty relating to the surveillance of persons. Monitoring of check posts, data entry or surveillance, home isolation, etc. to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been directed to take adequate steps to implement these orders in collaboration with all Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies.
