Violence ensued after Hindu organizations tried to take out an anti-Khalistan march in Patiala yesterday.

After the clash between Sikh organizations and Shiv Sena in Patiala, there is an alert in entire Punjab. High alert has been put in the district adjoining Patiala. In order not to worsen the situation in any way, the police has recommended the implementation of Section 144. Security has been beefed up in government buildings. Government ambulances have been asked to be ready. Fatehgarh Sahib SSP has sent a letter to the Deputy Commissioner in this regard.

Markets can be closed forcibly
According to the SSP, there has been a clash between Hindu organizations and extremist Sikh organizations in Patiala at the Kali Mata temple. After this, an appeal has been made for Punjab Bandh on 30 April. During this, dharnas, rallies, demonstrations and fury marches can be held. Apart from this, shops and markets can be forcibly closed. During this, recommendations have been sent to the DC to ensure that the security arrangements remain strong.

Keep staff ready including doctors
The SSP said that maximum medical staff, including doctors, should be kept ready in government hospitals. Ambulances should also be parked. The watchmen posted in government buildings have been asked to give special instructions regarding security.
