Akshar’s wedding comes after star batsman KL Rahul’s high-profile celebrity wedding with actress and starchild Athiya Shetty. The couple got married on January 23 at Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala.
India cricketer Akshar Patel tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Meha Patel on 26 January. The two dated each other for a long time before getting engaged in January 2022. Akshar’s wife is a dietician and remains very active on social media. She leaves no stone unturned when it comes to posting pictures from her latest vacations. She was said to be fond of traveling and had traveled to places like Goa, Dubai and the United States of America with her now husband.
The 29-year-old cricketer was ruled out of Team India’s limited-overs series in New Zealand due to personal commitments. The couple had a Mehendi ceremony and pre-wedding celebration on Wednesday (January 25).

Although Axar will not be available for the first match of the T20I series against New Zealand, he was last seen in action during the T20I series against Sri Lanka where he shone with the bat. Axar’s best knock of the series came in the Pune face-off when India were chasing a tough 208. His 65 off just 31 balls along with Surya’s 51 looked to have steered the Indian ship to a safer shore, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. The hosts lost by 16 runs but Akshar was etched in everyone’s memory.
“When my batting benefits the team (as compared to bowling) then it is a pleasure. Didn’t do anything different for this series, just the captain gave me a lot of confidence in the dugout. He tells me to play freely and says he is there to protect me,” Akshar had earlier said.
