Telegram has rolled out a new feature that allows users to translate messages into the language of their choice.
Once the Telegram feature is activated, you can simply tap on a message and from the pop-up window that appears, select the translation option to change the language of the message.

Here is how you can use this feature on your Telegram account.
- Open the Telegram application.
- Choose the ‘hamburger’ icon or the icon that looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.
- Now, select ‘Settings’. You will be directed to the Settings page.
- You will get the ‘Language’ option listed. Tap on it.
- Here, you will see the list of languages offered by Telegram. At the top of the screen, you will find the option ‘Show translate button’ with a toggle button next to it.
- To activate the feature, toggle it on. Once you have turned it on, a new option will appear where you can select the languages in which you do not want this feature to translate the message.
Once activated, you can simply tap on a message and, from the pop-up window that appears, select the translation option to change the language of the message.
The update that was rolled out to the application on January 2 also included QR codes and responses to messages. Another interesting feature is the hidden or distorted text which allows the sender to hide a part of the message. The revelation is not made until the receiver taps on the hidden part. These features are available for both Android and iOS users.
