Amidst the incidents of communal violence in Karauli, Jodhpur and Bhilwara in Rajasthan, Inana village of Nagaur is an example of communal and caste harmony. The people of this village do not put caste in front of their name, but only the surname Enanis made from the name of the village.

Retired from PHED, Pukhram Inanis say, the name of our village is Inana and the people here put the Inanis in front of their names, so that harmony remains. In this village you will neither find gutkha in any shop nor is there a liquor contract here. Although very few houses belong to Muslim society, but they all live together as if they belong to the same society. When the Bhaskar team reached this village, Janwaruddin Teli was found sitting on the doorstep of the temple of Shaligram ji of the village.

In 1358, 12 farms were milled.
Pukhram says, the village was settled in 1358 by Sobhraj’s son Inder Singh. There were 12 castes in 12 kheds. All of them together made Inana. It was named after Inder Singh. Since then people write Inanis instead of their caste. Inder Singh had two other brothers, who were cow protectors.

Among them, one Haruharpal was martyred in the protection of cows, whom the whole village worships as a totem. Nayak, Meghwal, Khati, Jatt, Kumhar, Brahmin, Teli, Lohar, Goswami and Mahajan etc. All the castes in the village, most of them use the Greeks with their names. 4400 votes, population is close to 10 thousand.

Inanii instead of caste in Aadhar card

According to Nagaur SDM Sunil Panwar, the benefit of government services is available from the caste certificate. Even if Inana is written in the Aadhar card, then there is no problem.

SHO said: There is no case of liquor, villagers also resolve mutual disputes together
Mundwa SHO Richpalsingh Chaudhary says – There are no disputes in Inana. Whatever happens, the villagers solve them by sitting together. Till date no case of liquor reached the police station. If anyone found drunk in a public place, he is fined 11,000. The money goes to the cowshed. All the decisions are taken at the sarai of the bus stand, which is accepted by the whole village.

This feature of Inana: – neither gutkha is sold nor liquor, DJ is also banned for 15 years

  1. DJ off: Closed for 20 years. Neither take them to the wedding nor let them bring them. Because, the wild animals and birds are troubled.
  2. Odhawani – Death feast closed: Odhawani-Mrityu Bhoj is closed for 15 years. Only do Gangaprasad.
  3. Prohibition: The village’s Kankar is spread for 14 kilometers and there is not a single liquor contract here.
  4. Do not burst firecrackers: People play colors on Holi and crackers on Diwali as an omen.
