Hera Pheri 3 has been making headlines ever since rumors of him replacing Kartik Aaryan Akshay Kumar surfaced on the Internet. While Khiladi Kumar is back in the franchise, new actors have also joined. If the latest reports are to be believed then Sanjay Dutt has joined the star cast of Hera Pheri 3. The actor will be seen playing the role of Ravi Kishan’s distant brother who is a gangster. Though no official announcement has been made, actor Suniel Shetty has reacted to it and said that Dutt will raise the bar of comedy.
Suniel Shetty told Bombay Times, “With Sanjay Dutt, the film will be a laugh riot, as Sanju’s sense of comedy is incredible. His comic timing and body language will add another feather to the cap. He will take it to another Level. We share a great relationship and it will reflect on screen as well.
Talking about Hera Pheri 3 at a press conference earlier, Sanjay Dutt also confirmed that he has joined the cast. “Yes, I am doing the film. It will be exciting to shoot with the entire team. It is a great franchise and I am very happy to be a part of it. Firoz and I share a very old relationship,” he added. I share a close bond with producer Firoz Nadiadwala), and it was great teaming up with Akshay (Kumar), Sunil Anna (Shetty) and Paresh (Rawal).
When fans were confused whether Hera Pher 3 is happening or not and if Akshay Kumar is returning to the franchise, Suniel Shetty cleared the air with a LinkedIn post. He shared the first few glimpses from the shoot and said, “So Hera Pheri 3 is finally happening! Looking forward to being back on the sets with Paresh Rawal and Akki (Akshay Kumar). Like all good things, it will take some time.” But it’s a relief to finally have an answer to this question.” Further added, “In the film, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be seen reprising their popular characters, Raju, Shyam and Baburao respectively.”
The original “Hera Pheri” released in 2000 and achieved the status of a cult comedy. It was followed by the sequel “Phir Hera Pheri” (2006), with Shetty reprising his role of Shyam, Rawal returning as Babu Bhaiya and Kumar as Raju. The third part has been in the works for a long time. Last year, Akshay had announced that he had opted out of the threequel due to creative differences and it created a storm on the internet.
If reports are to be believed, Akshay had earlier opted out of the franchise due to lack of clarity in the script. Following the news, Paresh took to Twitter and confirmed that Kartik is a new addition to the cast. A fan tagged Paresh Rawal on Twitter and asked, “@Sir PareshRawal Sir, is it true that Kartik Aaryan is doing Hera Pheri 3?” To this Paresh tweeted, “Yes it is true.”
